The Healthy Breast:
The breast is composed of adipose tissue, glandular epithelium, ducts, blood vessels, lymph vessels and collagen supporting fibres and the skin. These are all overlays upon the normal musculature of the chest wall. Exercise will tone up and increase the size of the musculature. The breast, however, on top of these muscles is as soft and pliable as any tissue in the entire human body. Poorly fitting bras displace this tissue by pushing it under the arm, and can impede circulation and lymphatic drainage which interferes with cellular health. Poorly supporting bras allow the breast to sag with gravity, thus reducing the elasticity of the skin from the face to the chest.
For the woman who values her health, she should regularly perform breast self-examinations to check for the presence of lumps, swelling, heat and soreness. She should also wear a correctly fitted, properly supporting bra.

CAN I USE THE BRA FOR SPORTS/EXERCISE?
YES! These bras are excellent for aerobic activity as the breast is well supported, and bounce is minimized. The shelf wicks away sweat, and the fabric allows good air circulation around the breast. You may want to dedicate one bra to sports, and wash after each wearing.
HOW MANY BRAS SHOULD I HAVE?
It is advisable to have a minimum of two bras to start. Three bras are recommended for good fit and longevity.
If you only have one ,when you are wearing it, you are training your breast tissue forward where it should be. When you wear another bra you are training your breast tissue back and out to the sides again. The health benefits and long term effects to your breast tissue, lymphatic and circulatory systems ONLY come with consistent retraining of your breast tissue and continual opening of the natural flow of the lymphatic and circulatory systems on a DAILY basis. If you do not follow the suggested rotation of three bras, your bras can lose their designed shape. Wear a bra no more than two days without washing it. Once it is washed and rinsed, leave it hanging for 24 hours for the elastic to contract back to its original shape. This way if you have three bras then you will have:
·one to WEAR,
·one to WASH, and
·one to REST.
The Rest Phase means that it is sitting in your drawer awaiting its rotation. With three bras you are not washing them too frequently and they will last longer. The life of any bra can be greatly diminished in many cases because the elastic gets too stretched out and does not have a chance to contract back; wearing too often and washing improperly causes this. NO WASHER OR DRYER!
THE EFFECT OF YOUR CURRENT POSTURE AND POSTURAL HABITS!
If your spine maintains good posture, you will find your new bra a much more natural fit. If your spine is flexed forward (rounded shoulders) or twisted (as in scoliosis) you may have a more difficult time getting used to your bra. (The Posture Perfect garment was also designed to assist when you face this challenge.)
WHAT IF I AM PREGNANT, NURSING OR ON A WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM?
If you are in a weight loss program, note that breast tissue will still be trained forward and tissue from the back will move there. A modest amount of weight loss or weight gain can be accommodated through your current new custom-fitted bra. (Pregnancy and nursing are another matter. Please inform your consultant if you think you are or are in fact, pregnant, nursing or on a weight loss program.)
CAN I EVER WEAR ANOTHER BRA?
Yes you can wear other bras. You may have special occasion dresses or outfits whose design might require an alternate bra. Go ahead and wear it. BUT, think of your custom fit bras as your “staple” bras and that on occasion you can wear others as appropriate. Not only will you notice the difference between this alternate bra, but it will help you to appreciate the support and comfort of your custom fit bras even more.
